The Rundown of Prom

  1. Prom Basics -

    1. Premier HS & Responsive Ed have guidelines and safety policies enacted with the event(s) of Prom, but any of the money raised is strictly Parent and Student funded. Meaning, every dollar we earn comes from parents and students, not from the school. Your involvement is crucial in the fundraising process.

    2. Prom King and Queen: Nominees can only be a Junior and Senior and PLAN TO ATTEND prom. If nominated, you will campaign for yourself. Voting will be the week of prom. More details will be given in March

    3. Prom tickets: They are $20 and will go on sale in March until the night of Prom.

  2. Prom Committee - (Interested? Use the QR code to the website)

    1. 10th-12th graders only - Students must be on track with school. Fall behind, we might drop you until you get back on track.

    2. Even if you plan to graduate - you can still come to the meetings, help with, and attend the prom! We'd love to see your beautiful/handsome face again!

    3. Free Ticket: Members are required to help with set-up for prom. Your reward is a free prom ticket. I keep track. (Your date must purchase a ticket).

    4. Meetings: We will give notice before meetings to request off for work, etc. Most should be at school, maybe during lunch.

  3. At prom -

    1. Your outfits must be school appropriate. Dresses cannot be shorter than your fingertip length, do not show your stomach or too much cleavage, etc.

    2. If you show up in an altered state of mind, you will be asked to leave.

    3. Respect our venue and do not tear anything up!

    4. And goodness gracious - no fighting! No drama. You will be asked to leave.

  4. Guests -

    1. One guest per Premier student please. We keep track.

    2. If the guest does not attend PHS: there is a form that must be filled out BY THEIR PRINCIPAL from the school they attend. Your teacher can print one.

    3. Guests cannot be older than 20.

    4. If they are OUT of school: they MUST come to the school and let us scan their DL or State ID. This is all for the protection of our students outside of the safety of our school. There are many minors in attendance and we want to assure guardians of the safety of their children by those in attendance.

    5. Any other circumstances, see Mrs. McLaren or Ms. Posey.

  1. For Parents/Guardians  -

    1. Rules: Please make sure your child adheres to any rules or policies our school and prom activities have in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment for these activities so we can keep them going for the years to come.

    2. Chaperone: If you would like to chaperone, free of charge, please let me know. I will have a cap on how many adults we will need to attend.

    3. Fundraising: If you know of any discounts, coupons, free gifts that we can use for fundraisers, catering help, etc. please let me know! We will accept any help that we can get. Sometimes we give gifts as prizes at the end of fundraisers, etc. so anything that we could be gifted would be excellent.

    4. Sponsor/Donations: We have had dresses/shoes/tuxes, jewelry, etc. donated before and keep a Prom Closet for those who need it. Also, if you would like to be a sponsor; some parents have chipped in the $20 for the prom tickets for kids that may not be able to afford them. Please let me know if you would like to donate. CashApp & Venmo listed below. Separate lists are kept depending on your donation and what you would like for it to go toward.
